The Nintendo World Store is located in the Rockefeller center in Manhattan. In the first floor the store has a display of all the handhelds consoles, where on large open tables, visitors can play and interact with the DSs and GameBoys. Blue, white and grey are the main colors of the store, reinforcing the image of the company. A section called the "Multiplayer wall," has several DS consoles linked so families and friends can actually played together on Wi-Fi any game that the company is featuring. Other visitors may follow the players on the big screens connected to de handheld consoles. Another section of the store is the Pokemon center, where its most famous character, Pikachu, hosts the customers who go to the store looking for pokemon cards, games and accesories.
In the second floor, the store has a display of Nintendo's history of products from the Hanafuda cards to the Nintendo DSi, including all different versions released around the world. Therefore the store attempts to be a center of information and promotion rather than actually selling consoles.
The merchandise area is the section of the store that is meant to sell exclusive products imported from Japan for visitors and collectors. T-shirts, dolls, baseball caps, key chains and different toys with the company's brand name and mark, and different Nintendo characters.
